BACKGROUND: Whilst our experience covers sourcing and delivery of most leisure development equipment (hotel tableware and kitchen equipment; gym and fitness equipment; etc.), each sector has its own detail requirements and beauty and medical cosmetic salons are no exception.

Sourcing on behalf of a particularly demanding client, we have been involved in extensive research of equipment for state of the art treatments.

LOGISTICS: Beauty treatments, and the associated equipment and consumables, cover a wide range of technologies. Many are only available from small, niche manufacturers, such as ‘stone massage packages’, gold-plated studs and wax treatment products. In addition to initial supply and re-supply of such consumables, we have sourced complete sets of furniture and equipment for new salons.

One key project began with the client supplying a full inventory of beauty products and equipment, along with a specification of furniture style requirements. We identified an Italian supplier for the specialist furniture, including hydraulic treatment chairs and manicure stations. Detailed specification information, fabric samples and colour swatches were obtained; these were conveyed to our client with a clear checklist of customer options. The client’s response was conveyed to the supplier and AOS Resource took full responsibility for ensuring conformance and quality of the order.

Other equipment, such as trolleys, stools, and video equipment were sourced from within the UK, with AOS Resource representing the client in the same way. The products from Italy were initially shipped to the UK for inspection and consolidation for shipment with the balance of the items. As for all our procurement projects, AOS Resource conduct detailed quality inspections and generate all compliance and export/import documentation, whilst closely supervising the final loading for shipment. These goods filled a 20ft. shipping container and we once again maintained our reputation for:-

• All goods being to the exact specification of the client
• Delivery in ‘mint condition’, with no damage sustained in transit
