BACKGROUND: A number of our clients have a policy of regular renewal of their prestige car fleets, under agreements with Rolls Royce Motor Cars, and other prestige manufacturers. As a result of frequent contact, we have an excellent direct relationship and are honoured as a Preferred Supplier of their products to the Middle East.

We are best placed to administer the fine detail of product specification in the U.K. on behalf of the client, and for inspection and processing of the Certificate of Conformity for import clearance. Coordination of this procurement process with closely monitored quality control and delivery planning is our forte.

LOGISTICS: An increasing awareness of product standards and conformity, and vehicle emissions, has led to a significant increase in the documentation procedure for the importation of vehicles to the Kingdom. Staying aware of current requirements and ensuring conformance are key tasks for our logistics team. We take pride that no shipment arranged and documented by AOS Resource has ever suffered customs delays on exportation or importation. We achieve this through personal involvement at every stage of the process - a senior coordinator will:-

• Visit the supplier to confirm and agree every detail of the specification and check conformance;
• Take delivery of the vehicle(s) at the port of departure (Southampton, Heathrow, etc.);
• Conduct the most thorough pre-shipment inspection, with photographic evidence gathered in case of shipping damage claims;
• Deliver vehicle(s) to the airline / shipping line, documenting and obtaining their signature to confirm pristine condition on receipt;
• Despatch all documents to the client to enable rapid import and conformity clearance, and to allow immediate identification of any shipping damage – although we are proud to say that none has yet been incurred during any AOS Resource shipment.
